Use of flame retardants in textiles
Fire retarder fabric can be divided into two types:
– Coating the raw fabric before weaving.
– Coating the finished product.
– Flame-resistance is not fireproof—the fire will simply not spread as much. Flame resistance depends on time of exposure (in seconds) and distance (in centimeters) during combustion.

Currently, fire retarder fabric is widely-used in businesses and industries such as hotels, hospitals, cinemas, residences, offices, and Department Stores etc.

Selection of flame retardant depends on use, material type, cost, reusability, and safety standard:
– High flame resistance
– Ease of use
– No impact on material texture
– Compatibility with other substances
– Safety against the skin and good fabric breathability
– Non-toxicity
– No impact on fabric’s structural durability/
